Ryan Manuel, an Assistant Professor at Purdue University’s School of Construction Management Technology, has twenty years of experience in residential, commercial, and mechanical construction. Having graduated from Purdue, Ryan embarked on a successful career in the construction industry, where he held various management positions across different sectors, before ultimately deciding to transition to academia in 2019. His academic influence is characterized by creative course design and an interactive teaching style, particularly in his primary course, CM 15000, where students obtain practical construction skills.
Ryan’s commitment to excellence in teaching is evident through multiple nominations for the Exceptional Early Career Teaching Award and recognition for his exceptional teaching during the pandemic. Ryan’s engagement in the construction sector is extensive, going beyond instruction alone. He is currently a member of the Career Development Committee for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) and has served on the Board of Directors for the American Institute of Constructors (AIC).
