Derick is a Project manager for A&A Industrial Piping in Fairfield, New Jersey and is responsible for putting together teams that oversee every aspect of a project from procurement, scheduling, construction, commissioning, and final turnover to a client. He has worked on amazing projects throughout the New York Metro and New Jersey areas, including the installation of New York City’s first water filtration plant, 290mgd, only 10% of NYC drinking water, the rest is still unfiltered. His team also installed six new boilers 70ft below Madison Ave in Manhattan for a large hospital. Currently, Derick is on a project supplying super dehumidified air to the suspension cables on the George Washington Bridge.
Derick states, “I would not have been able to lead such great projects without great support. MCAA and local MCA organizations provide this support. The best way to do this is to get involved. This is my first year on the MCAA Career Development Committee where I have met so many talented peers and students.”
Derick also serves on the Education Committee for MCA New Jersey and as an Industry Advisory Board Member for the BSME/ BSMET programs at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
