Krista is responsible for managing and overseeing the legal, human resources, and marketing departments at J. F. Ahern Co. Krista earned her Bachelor’s and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Iowa. Krista joined Ahern in 2013 as Ahern’s first ever General Counsel. In 2014, she took on the additional responsibility of the Human Resources department and became a member of Ahern’s Management Committee. In 2015, she became a shareholder and in 2022 she took on the additional responsibility of the Marketing department. As General Counsel and EVP of HR and Marketing, Krista oversees all aspects of HR including recruiting, learning and development, benefits, compliance, and career development. She also oversees all aspects of legal and risk management including contracts, disputes, insurance and other risk management activities. Krista currently serves on the MCAA Career Development Committee.
