Ryan Manuel is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the School of Construction Management Technology at Purdue University. Combining 15+ years of construction experience and a passion for experiential learning, Ryan brings a wealth of industry knowledge to his teaching. He focuses his teaching and research on IAQ, safety, service-learning, and preparing students for the construction industry’s evolving challenges. Ryan directs several hands-on projects that link students to local communities, combining technical skills with impactful real-world applications.
Beyond his academic responsibilities, Ryan maintains strong industry partnerships, a collaboration that effectively translates the latest industry trends and enthusiasm directly into the classroom environment, enriching the student learning experience. He strongly supports including leadership development, safety education, and MEP systems in construction management programs. Ryan’s dedication to student success, his engagement with the community, and his innovative and collaborative approach to advancing construction education are clearly demonstrated in his work. Ryan also currently serves on the MCAA Career Development Committee and advises the Purdue Student Chapter.
